The continuing travels of a Learning Pool pig

summer-party-ben-pigLast week one of our Learning Pool piggies took a swim in the River Thames.

This wasn’t a mishap on our part or even deliberate and wanton cruelty to a poor blue plastic object.  No – this was our message in a bottle to those a little further upstream to us.

This merriment took place at our Summer Party, held last week on the lovely HMS President in the River Thames – you can read a little more about the event itself from Liz Azyan’s post ‘LP party Highlight: Let’s googleize local government!’

Ben wrote the note and posted it into the pig before taking great care to seal all orifices and hurling it into the murky brown waters of the Thames.

So what did the note say?

Was it a strongly worded message to those at the Houses of Parliament saying hands off local government budgets?

Was it a message to those few London Boroughs who aren’t yet members of Learning Pool reminding them about the cost efficiencies of a Learning Pool subscription?

Or did it simply just say ‘Help’?

summer-party-pig-in-the-thames-2If you have seen this pig and rescued it from the Thames call 0207 101 9383 for your reward but be warned, evidence will be required.

PS.  You might also want to check out some more of the photos from the party here.  There are some crackers!

I am still waiting for the River police to contact me about pollution of the Thames - sorry!
