Passport to Procurement

The module defines procurement and in a public sector context before outlining the various steps and review stages in the procurement cycle. Learners will find out about contract law and the legal environment for procurement, including EU legislation on the subject, and there is a final section on contract management showing how to ensure the benefits and delivery of the procurement are achieved.

Change Management

This module looks at organisational change from the perspective of participants, advocates, change leaders and change agents, whilst also introducing tools that can be used to manage people through a change process. The module explores the concepts surrounding how people respond to change. It is aimed at people who will be responsible for leading or managing a change process, although people who find themselves experiencing change as participants will find it equally relevant.

How to win hearts and minds during organisational change. Look at the change process by focusing on people in the organisation - how they respond to change and the roles they take. This course is not editable in the Learning Pool Authoring Tool.

Freedom of Information: An Introduction

Across its three sections, this module explains what Freedom of Information is, why it has been introduced and its impact on local authorities and the public. It also looks at how the Act relates to other legislation and at how local authorities must provide information. It concludes by describing the role and responsibilities of the Information Commissioner and of other staff within the council.
