Efficiency Savings made by Learning Pool customers

Learning Pool is the only online learning community dedicated exclusively to the public sector.

Using our services our customers have saved the public purse over £36 million since 2007.  I thought you’d be interested in some examples of how they have done that.

Plymouth City Council saved £82,000 by using e-learning to deliver their mandatory Government Connect information security training to staff.

Plymouth then shared their module within the Learning Pool community and the following councils then repurposed it using our Authoring Tool, each creating their own savings:

•  Essex County Council trained 9,000 employees, saving £849,000
•  Kingston upon Hull City Council trained 3,000 employees, saving £69,000
•  Suffolk County Council (CSDUK) trained 6,000 employees, saving £217,000
•  North Lincolnshire Council trained over 2,300 employees saving £85,000

The Government Connect e-learning module, originally created by Plymouth City Council, has been repurposed by over 20 councils to date, saving over £1.7million.

Hertfordshire County Council created a dedicated learning platform for its social care staff and partners.  Their Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults e-learning module has been rolled out to over 2,700 staff to date creating savings of over £133,000.

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council saved £65,500 delivering Safeguarding Adults training to over 1,500 council and partner organisation staff.  They also created a Health and Safety module for staff saving £183,000.

But it’s not just large councils who create savings.  Wycombe District Council trained 240 staff on Reducing Avoidable Contact, saving £10,000.

We have more examples of ROI stories from our customers here, with savings totalling nearly £3m.

If you want to create your own ROI story we have a handy ROI calculator that will help.
