Location: Coventry
This meeting will give you the chance to hear what your other local authorities are doing with e-learning.
Hear about e-learning within partnership arrangements and find out how best to create efficiency savings.

The meeting was very useful for future collaboration and developments and knowledge of what is available.

We are very pleased to have guest speaker, Worcestershire County Council's Carol Woolley.
Carol will be talking about Worcestershires journey with e-learning and how they are using a Learning Pool Dynamic Learning Environment (DLE) to work collaboratively with six neighbouring district councils to deliver Equality and Diversity training.
Our community evangelist, Dave Briggs, will also be speaking about the use of social media and its place in the public sector. Take a look at his blog http://davepress.net/ or hear a bit of what he has to say about social media in local government http://vimeo.com/6847207. Other speakers also to be confirmed.
We will be holding a time of open discussion where you will have the opportunity to share your training needs and hurdles ahead of you. We can also speak with you individually if required after the event. Another aim of the meeting is to see if there are any possibilities for collaborative work around e-learning and see how Learning Pool can facilitate that.
