Meet the LGA's guidelines

The courses meet the LGA's guidelines on managing information.

"All councils should seek to develop a culture that properly values, protects and uses information for the public good. Councils should reinforce that information is a key business asset and that its proper use is not simply an IT issue.

There should be clear lines of accountability throughout the organisation together with a programme of staff awareness raising, starting at induction but continually updated, which clearly sets out the expectations of staff."
